Q. Will other characters appear in the fic?

A. They will. Not only that, but there are also alternate plot lines for almost every character. I gave each one a background and a story, but my brain works on automatic mode and it's hard to cover it all in a single fic. However, you're free to ask me in my CuriousCat or directly from Twitter.

Q. Are Owen and "Kizu-Owen" any different from canon?

A. They are in multiple aspects. Since we're not certain yet of what exactly is his wounded personality, I just mixed them together and split them once again, so you'll see Owen being less mischievous, for example. There are some personal retouches here and there as well, but they're still Owen and his wounded self in essence. I think it'd be hard for Owen to be like that in our society in the present (lol), so I had to make some adjustments to his behaviour, is all...

Q. About gender and sexuality in the fic...

A. I am non-binary myself and I enjoy thinking a current times Owen would care very little about gender other to what society forces into him. Owen is a free-spirited person that follows his very own rules in his individuality and I doubt he'd care about labels, that's why you won't read Owen saying "I am non-binary", but instead, "I am Owen" (which is essentially the same, but put into character). Owen's gender is not defined, nor is his sexuality. Cain on the other side, is mlm for sure and you will see him talk about it several times.

Cain and Owen's gender and sexuality struggles have very different perspectives, which I am playing with. Owen's struggles are related to the outside world (society is pushing labels on him) while Cain's struggles are personal and in an inner aspect (he is scared about how that will affect his very own daily life). Owen cares less, Cain's worries go further. Different people, different ways of dealing with it.

Q. Do you plan every chapter bit by bit?

A. No. I have no genuine fucking idea of what I am doing, but I am having fun and I am glad others are as well, so that's all that counts to me (lol). This fic could perfectly be 20 chapters long or end next chapter, who knows. Whatever I come up with at the moment is what will appear in the fic, but I do have some scenes in mind from time to time and know where exactly to put them. For example, I drew the final scene of chapter 6 even before I started writing the fic at all. I am as surprised about what is happening in the fic as you are.

Q. Why is chapter 7 titled as "Chapter 6" and so on...

A. Because I am stupid as fuck and I thought I would be creative enough to give each chapter a title. Maybe I will try to figure something out by chapter 10 (which would be... chapter 11, AO3-wise lol).

Q. Are the characters minors?

A. Characters grow up and become adults as the fic goes on. For example, Cain is 17 but in August (a little bit after the fic starts) he will be 18. Owen is 18 and becomes 19 by November. It depends on their birthdays. The only minor by the end of the fic would probably be Lawrence. I do not involve any minor in sexual intercourse nor is my intention to do so. I do not condone any of this and anything that could imply sexual subtext will not have any minor involved. If you are bothered by a some months of age difference ship because one of them is 18 and the other one is 17 but weeks away from becoming 18, don't read this fic.
